TFT et le Centre Porsche Oberer Zürichsee dévoilent un triple programme !

Le lien entre TFT et le Centre Porsche Oberer Zürichsee (PZOZ) et son pilote Niki Leutwiler ne cesse de se renforcer. Pour preuve, la volonté commune de s’engager sur 3 championnats différents en 2020 ! Le passage en GT3, évidemment avec la Porsche GT3R, se fera sur la scène européenne en International GT Open et Michelin Le Mans Cup. La 911 GT3 Cup n’est pas abandonnée pour autant, champion AM GT Cup Open 2019, Niki va relever un nouveau défi en passant dans la catégorie Pro-Am dans ce même championnat en 2020.

La Porsche GT3R engagée dans deux championnats : International GT Open et Michelin Le Mans Cup

Le projet de passer en GT3 se muri depuis quelques temps déjà. Avant même la fin de saison 2019, avec le support de Porsche AG, Niki a montré sa volonté d’amener la Porsche GT3R dans le championnat International GT Open dans lequel la marque de Stuttgart n’était pas représentée. Le projet se concrétise avec l’acquisition d’une Porsche 911 GT3R et l’engagement de Niki en GT Open sur la saison 2020. Il pilotera seul, comme il l’a déjà fait à plusieurs reprises avec réussite (Champion Am GT4 European Series 2018, Champion Am GT Cup Open 2019), et donc se battra encore une fois pour le titre Am.

Ne voulant pas s’arréter là, TFT et Niki projettent de participer également à la Michelin Le Mans Cup. Pour cela, il faut trouver un équipier de talent. Toujours avec le soutien de Porsche, c’est finalement Julien Andlauer (pilote officiel Porsche Motorsport) qui rejoint nos rangs pour 2020. Malgré son jeune age, Julien a fait ses preuves : Champion Porsche Carrera Cup France et Allemagne, Vainqueur des 24H du Mans 2018 GT-Am. Aujourd’hui catégorisé « Gold » par la FIA, Julien va apporter son expérience, sa vitesse et son professionnalisme à l’ensemble de l’équipe.

​Le GT Cup Open au menu de la 911 GT3 Cup

Champion Am en titre, Niki voulait poursuivre l’aventure dans ce championnat mais cette année il ne sera plus seul dans la GT3 Cup. En cette saison 2020, il sera accompagné de nouveau par un pilote français : Vincent Beltoise. Ce dernier, grand connaisseur de la Porsche pour avoir participé à plusieurs saisons en Carrera Cup et classé Silver par la FIA, permettra de passer en catégorie Pro-Am et donc de relever un nouveau challenge.

Niki Leutwiler : « 2020 est une année très spéciale pour tout le monde. Avec le soutien de Porsche AG, nous avons décidé de mettre en place un programme élargi pour de nombreuses raisons : évidemment l’investissement avait déjà été consenti en 2019, l’engagement de représenter Porsche dans des championnats n’ayant pas vu la marque depuis un moment, l’opportunité de transformer une situation difficile en un excellent projet pour toutes les parties et enfin pour soutenir l’équipe TFT au moment où ils en ont le plus besoin. Nous sommes tous dans le même bateau, alors assurons-nous d’en sortir ensemble en participant à des courses de la manière la plus professionnelle et enrichissante possible. »

Julien Andlauer : « Je suis très content de rajouter ce programme aux miens. Ça va me faire pas mal de courses en cette fin de saison. C’est un plaisir de piloter une nouvelle fois la GT3R et d’entamer une collaboration avec l’équipe TFT que je connais un petit peu. Je n’ai jamais roulé en Michelin Le Mans Cup mais c’est un format que je commence à bien connaître. Je suis ravi de rejoindre Niki, un bon gentleman, ce qui est plutôt rare. Ça va être un beau challenge avec un bon potentiel qu’on va devoir exploiter. Hâte de commencer les premiers essais et de participer à la première course du championnat la semaine prochaine au Castellet. »

Vincent Beltoise : « J’intègre le Team TFT pour 2020 aux côtés de Niki pour le programme GT Cup Open. Au volant d’une Porsche 991 GT3 Cup phase 2, voiture que je connais bien pour avoir roulé en Porsche Carrera Cup France plusieurs saisons. Les objectifs du Team sont ambitieux et bien définis ! Ce qui me motive ! Je ferai mon maximum pour aider TFT et Niki à les atteindre ! »

Tony Pereira (TFT Team Manager) : « Très heureux de cette collaboration avec Porsche et des équipages que l’on a formé avec d’excellents pilotes. La performance sera au rendez-vous c’est sûr. C’est un plaisir immense de retrouver Julien que l’on avait déjà fait rouler en CN pour une séance d’essais et bien sûr aussi Vincent avec qui on discute tous les ans et enfin on arrive à réaliser un projet ensemble. Et aussi un grand merci à Niki (et Barbara) qui font partie de la famille TFT maintenant sans qui tout cela ne serait possible. »

TFT and Porsche Centre Oberer Zürichsee unveil a triple program!

The link between TFT and Porsche Centre Oberer Zürichsee (PZOZ) and its driver Niki Leutwiler continues to strengthen. As proof, the common will to commit to 3 different championships in 2020! The transition to GT3, obviously with the Porsche GT3R, will take place on the European scene in the International GT Open and Michelin Le Mans Cup. However, the 911 GT3 Cup is not abandoned, 2019 GT Cup Open AM champion, Niki will take up a new challenge by entering the Pro-Am category in this same championship in 2020.

The plan to switch to GT3 has matured for some time now. Even before the end of the 2019 season, with the support of Porsche AG, Niki showed his willingness to bring the Porsche GT3R into the International GT Open championship in which the Stuttgart brand was not represented. The project finally materializes with the acquisition of a Porsche 911 GT3R and Niki’s commitment to the GT Open in the 2020 season. He will drive alone, as he has already done on several successful occasions (2018 GT4 European Series AM Champion, 2019 GT Cup Open AM Champion), and therefore will once again fight for the AM title.

Not wanting to stop there, TFT and Niki plan to participate in the Michelin Le Mans Cup as well. For that, it is necessary to find a talented team member. With the support of Porsche again, it is finally Julien Andlauer (official Porsche Motorsport driver) who joins our ranks for 2020. Despite his young age, Julien has proven himself: Porsche Carrera Cup France and Germany Champion, Winner of the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans in GT-Am category. Today classified as « Gold » by the FIA, Julien will bring his experience, his speed and his professionalism to the whole team.

The GT Cup Open for the 911 GT3 Cup

Reigning AM champion, Niki wanted to continue the adventure in this championship but this year he will no longer be alone in the GT3 Cup. In this 2020 season, he will again be accompanied by a French driver: Vincent Beltoise. The latter, a specialist of Porsche for having participated in several seasons in the Carrera Cup and classified « Silver » by the FIA, makes it possible to move into the Pro-Am category and therefore take up a new challenge.

Niki Leutwiler: « 2020 is a very special year for everybody. With the support from Porsche AG, we decided on an extended program because of many reasons: Obviously the investment taken already in 2019, the commitment to represent Porsche in programs not having seen the brand for a while, the opportunity to turn a difficult situation into a great project for all involved and last but not least to support team TFT when it is needed most. We are all in this together so let’s make sure we get out of it together by going racing in the most professional and rewarding way possible. »

Julien Andlauer: « I am very happy to add this program to mine. I’m going to have many races at the end of the season. It’s a pleasure to drive the GT3R once again and to start a collaboration with the TFT team that I know a little bit. I’ve never raced in the Michelin Le Mans Cup but it’s a format I’m getting to know well. I am delighted to join Niki, a good gentleman, which is quite rare. It’s going to be a great challenge with good potential that we will have to exploit. Look forward to starting the first tests and to participate in the first race of the championship next week at Le Castellet. »

Vincent Beltoise: « I am joining the TFT Team for 2020 alongside Niki for the GT Cup Open program. Driving a Porsche 991 GT3 Cup phase 2, a car I know well for having driven in the Porsche Carrera Cup France for several seasons. The Team’s objectives are ambitious and well defined! What motivates me! I will do my best to help TFT and Niki reach them! »

It’s a great pleasure to find again Julien, whom we had already run in CN for a test session and of course Vincent, with whom we discuss every year and finally we manage to carry out a project together.
